Barossa Valley hotel recognised as SA’s best hotel

Barossa Pavilions has picked up a great award from HotelsCombined and has been recognised as South Australia’s best hotel.

The hotel had terrific feedback from guests and travel industry experts. It received 156 reviews for a near-perfect rating of 9.9 out of 10.

In assessing the venue, HotelsCombined looked at the way the hotel staff answered the hotels communication team and how they went about demonstrating their commitment in providing quick assistance.

Property owners James and Helen Knight were absolutely chuffed about receiving the award.

"We feel honoured to be recognised by HotelsCombined as the best hotel in SA,” they told the Barossa Herald.

“The award means a great deal to us in particular because the awards are based on the feedback and judgement of the most important people in our industry, our customers."

HotelsCombined, the Australian meta-search company, looks at the best hotels on offer and this month started a massive survey looking at the different kinds of accommodation across Australia.

The exercise has been nothing short of ambitious, gathering data from millions of guest reviews and converting them into an official Recognition of Excellence.

It’s not so much a ranking as identifying a group of outstanding places of accommodation based on strict criteria – the winner is rated 9.0/10 with a minimum of 50 certified customer reviews with absolutely no major customer problems or unresolved issues.

Market manager of HotelsCombined Australia Chris Rivett told the Barossa Herald that Barossa Pavilions is one of the best in Australia.

“We are thrilled to be working with the best hotels in Australia and Barossa Pavilions is certainly among them,” Mr Rivett said.

“What is different about the Recognition of Excellence is the way information is gathered and analyzed: it all depends on the guest and his or her experience with that particular accommodation.”
