Quay named Australia's best restaurant, again
Peter Gilmore’s Quay has been named Australia’s best restaurant at the Gourmet Traveller restaurant awards for the fourth time.
The accolade comes hot on the heels of the Circular Quay restaurant’s $4 million refurbishment and menu overhaul.
Josh Niland, head chef at Sydney seafood restaurant Saint Peter, won the peer-voted category of best chef.
Laura in Merricks won best new restaurant and Franklin in Hobart was named as having the best wine list.
Bar of the year went to Liberté in Albany and Brae in Birregurra won regional restaurant of the year.
