Bar and restaurant planned for new Southport tower
Plans are afoot for a new bar and restaurant in one of the Gold Coast’s tallest towers in Southport.
Developer Dia Investments has unveiled plans for a bar on the ground floor of the Merriton Sundale tower that would operate from 10am-12am seven days a week.
The bar would front Como Crescent and would take over an existing empty tenancy, close to the new light rail route.
It is the second new bar to be proposed along the light rail route in a week, with the owners of the Local Knowledge surf shop building want to turn the site at Nobby Beach into a 1005sqm food and dining venue for up to 200 people.
The plan includes a large-scale outdoor atrium on the second floor catering for another 120 people.
