The award was presented at the annual state awards gala dinner in recognition of Quality Hotel Batman's Hill on Collins strong commitment towards service excellence.

The award which firmly established the hotel as an industry leader in the mid-range accommodation sector was accepted by Yann Duroselle, General Manager of Quality Hotel Batman's Hill on Collins.

Choice Hotels Australasia (CHA) General Manager Sales and Marketing, Aileen Cobern, said it was a great result for the property.

"This award is a significant achievement and will reward and motivate the hard-working and dedicated team at Quality Hotel Batman's Hill. It is also incredibly satisfying to win an award that is judged based on feedback from industry peers and professionals," said Cobern.

The stringent judging process which saw the property up against 11 eligible candidates, involved TAA (Vic) members voting for their choice of top three hotels in the Mid-Range Accommodation Hotel of the Year category, after which a panel of industry experts conducted anonymous site visits.

Close to 400 industry leaders and hotel owners attended the awards evening which attracted over 100 entries in 15 different categories.  The annual awards celebrate the diversity and success of metropolitan and regional Victorian hotels.
