Massimo Bottura heading down under in 2019

Italian superstar chef Massimo Bottura is heading to Australia next year for a live stage tour.

The highly regarded chef is the creative force behind three-Michelin star restaurant Osteria Francescana in Modena, which has been ranked in the top five of the World's 50 Best Restaurants list since 2010, taking out the top spot this year.

Beyond his accolades as a chef and restaurateur, one who consistently upends the rules of traditional Italian cuisine while celebrating the nation’s history, Bottura is also a champion of minimising food waste, founding the non-profit association Food for Soul which aims to empower communities to fight food waste through social inclusion.

In 2015 Bottura was also the focus on the pilot episode of Netflix documentary series Chef's Table. He will speak in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane in August 2019, with tickets going on sale on April 3.
