Dine and dash ends in carpark shooting
A dine and dasher in the US got more than he expected when a restaurant worker shot him for allegedly running out on the bill.
Xin Xing Chen has been arrested after allegedly shooting a customer for walking out on the bill.
The customer reportedly tried to pay for his meal at China Cafeteria in Georgia. However, when employee Xin Xing Chen realised what had happened, he and his co-worker followed the customer outside to confront him. An argument ensued before Chen grabbed a gun and shot both the customer and his co-worker.
Jecory Jackson, a witness to the shooting, was in disbelief, telling WSB-TV “I can’t see somebody getting shot over a $US5 meal. I just can’t see it”.
Chen has been charged with aggravated assault. The customer is in a critical condition and the injured employee is in a stable condition.
