Lentil As Anything robbed overnight
A charity restaurant in Melbourne is reeling after being robbed overnight by a masked burglar.
Lentil As Anything was the target of a thief who stole $5,000 in cash along with a computer, mobile phone and keys to the eatery’s donation box.
CCTV footage shows burglar attempting to hide his identity by stacking boxes in front of security cameras.
The volunteer-run eatery has no set prices and instead asks customers to “pay as you feel”.
Café manager Dayle Jones told 9News the community focused restaurant is “always struggling” and appealed for the return of all the items stolen during the break-in.
