Grounds of Alexandria to open at Australian Technology Park
The Grounds of Alexandria is opening a new mega cafe/restaurant at the redeveloped Australian Technology Park in Sydney’s Eveleigh.
Speaking to Good Food, owner Ramzey Choker said it would open mid to late next year and be called The Grounds Roastery.
Designers ACME will oversee the look which will take its cues from the internal courtyards of European and North African villas.
"We're trying to get some skylights in so we can get some more light in there for greenery,” said Choker. “It is always my belief that if you're going to do something big you need trees.”
The centre piece of the venue will include a giant coffee roastery helmed by head roaster Nick Ferguson, who will have his own research and development
Ramzey said the 200-plus seater restaurant will be “easy-going".
