Stomping Ground Brewing Co to open second venue in Melbourne’s south east

Collingwood boutique brewer Stomping Ground Brewing Co will open a new offshoot in Melbourne's south-east.

The brewer has leased a warehouse in the $100 million Morris Moor redevelopment, where it will anchor the development’s hospitality precinct.

The new 460-patron brewery and gastropub will be located in the high-ceiling, 630 square metre converted warehouse, which will undergo a $2 million-plus fit out. A 400 sqm outdoor, north-facing beer garden is also on the plans.

The pub will brew craft beers on site and interchange them with varieties from its Collingwood tavern.

Morris Moor developer Up Property bought the 6.3 hectare site for over $23 million in 2017.

Up Property managing director Adam Davidson said the hospitality precinct is “the big drawcard” for attracting tenants to the remaining site.
