Two-hatted Newtown restaurant Oscillate Wildly to close

Two hatted Newtown restaurant Oscillate Wildly is set to close at the end of August in another blow to the fine dining scene in Sydney.

Chef Karl Firla helms the renowned restaurant, which has been operating for a decade. There are reports that the restaurant, which The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide described as a "progressive fine diner with the heart of a neighbourhood bistro", may be reborn but nothing is confirmed as yet.

The news follows a string of high-end restaurants closing including Bridge Room, Marque, Eleven Bridge, Gastro Park and Sepia.
