Samford Valley Hotel to get $5 million upgrade after acquisition
The Samford Valley Hotel north west of Brisbane will get a $5 million upgrade including new TAB facilities, a gaming room, bar and restaurant.
Staff numbers will also be doubled after being purchased by the Comiskey Group, which owns the Eatons Hill and Sandstone Point hotels.
A new menu concept is on the cards offering a “paddock to plate experience” bring in local live acoustic musicians to provide entertainment.
“Samford is a great destination for families offering beautiful countryside drives and boutique local businesses,” Comiskey Group director Rob Comiskey told the Courier Mail.
“Just as Sandstone Point is a great trip for a sea-change, Samford is a great trip for a tree-change.
“It has always been a place I’ve taken my family and it’s very exciting that we now own a piece of it.
“We hope to give back to the close-knit community and create an establishment that they can look forward to.”
