Brisbane cafe to come back from the ashes

The owner of Rosalie Gourmet Market and Cafe in Brisbane’s inner-west has vowed they will rebuild and reopen their doors by the end of the year.

The Rosalie cafe had just been renovated before it was engulfed by fire and completely destroyed after an electrical fire just over a week ago.

Despite an estimate it will take two to four months before they can reopen, owner Rae Gough is still operating the downstairs gourmet market and catering arm of the business which uses an off-site commercial kitchen.

“It’s a bit of an inconvenience to say the least,” she said.
