Pub fund taps investors for extra $25m

A pub fund is looking to raise an extra $25 million as it eyes off further acquisitions.

The raising would see The SJH Hotel Fund’s size increase to $50 million as it looks to reduce debt and provide headroom for further acquisitions and capital expenditure.

Via three hotel trusts, the fund owns the Lakeside Village Tavern, the Duke of Wellington Hotel and the Sea Breeze Hotel, each in NSW's Hunter region. It also has a deal to buy the Kent Hotel for $24.5 million.

The pitch to investors is to get exposure to "strong and stable historical earnings and cash flow, underpinned by multiple revenue streams including gaming, food and bar, retail and accommodations".
