Bondi Icebergs is to set to undergo a major makeover with plans to overhaul and relocate its members café part of a revamp of the iconic swimmers club with one of the best views in Australia.

The proposal lodged with Waverley Council includes relocating the fit-out and its cafe operations on the pool level of the building.

The cafe will move to a larger section of the floor to accommodate an increase in customers expected over summer.

The works are part of an even bigger plan to change things up on the pool-level floor of the club, where the reception and changing rooms also recently got a makeover.

The new location increases the size from approximately 26sqm to 38sqm allowing for some internal seating, according to Russel Prescott of Prescott Architects.

The changes at Icebergs follow plans to revamp Bondi Beach to the tune of $70 million, with $26 million to be spent on redeveloping the Bondi pavilion.
