Brisbane chemist to open an instore cafe
A chemist in Brisbane’s suburbs is planning to open a café instore as part of a revamp.
The Capsule Café at Terry White Chemmart Arana Hills will serve coffee and along with healthy options such as smoothies, wraps and salads.
Pharmacists Karen Brown and Rod Garozzo told the Courier Mail they were simply interested in using the extra space as best they could.
“The beauty of our refit is we gained pharmacy product space so we’re actually not losing anything in lieu of putting the café in,” said Brown.
“Also, it is a quite a quiet strip of shops – we’ve lost some big tenants - so (we thought) ‘what else can we do to draw people into our centre that will benefit all businesses in the centre?’
“And also, I think there’s actually a need for it in Arana Hills.”
The menu will also have some sweet treats on offer to accompany coffee.
“You’ve got to have some naughty stuff in there. Got to keep everyone happy,” said Brown.
Although connected internally. the café and pharmacy will have separate entrances.
