Bar Totti’s opens in the ivy precinct

Merivale’s Bondi-based Italian favourite Totti’s has opened its sister venue Bar Totti’s in the ivy precinct in the Sydney CBD.

The latest opening is part of Merivale’s vision to revamp the ivy into a precinct “centred around how we eat, drink, socialise, communicate and work together in this city”.

Led by chefs Mike Eggert and Jake Ahrens, Bar Totti’s menu is centred around its famous wood-fired bread but with an added focus on 24 house-made antipasti heavy on seafood. Classics such as tiramisu and its Neapolitan ice-cream sandwich are still on the dessert menu.

Spread across two spaces, Bar Totti's is split between a front dining room facing George Street, while the downstairs is a horseshoe-shaped bar and a live DJ.

The timing of the opening has coincided with the relaxation of Sydney's unpopular lockout laws, of which CEO Justin Hemmes has been a vocal opponent.
