Lewis Land Group raises over $20k for bushfire charities

Hospitality empire Lewis Land Group has raised funds for rural communities and wildlife affected by the recent devastating east coast bushfires.

Held Over the Australia Day long weekend, The Fiddler (Rouse Hill), Camden Valley Inn (Camden) and The Belvedere Hotel (Woody Point, Queensland) donated $1 for every item sold at each venue with all proceeds going to each of the venues’ selected charities: FRRR Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (The Fiddler), Port Macquarie Koala Hospital (Camden Valley Inn), and Australian Zoo Wildlife Warriors (The Belvedere Hotel).

Brad Jenkins, head of leisure at Lewis Land Group, said this year the Leisure team would be focused on giving back to local communities and driving more CSR initiatives.

“The recent New South Wales bushfires have been devastating for communities and native wildlife. With this in mind, we want to help those in need through fundraising initiatives at each of our Leisure venues,” said Jenkins.

“To choose where to donate, we asked our staff to select the top charities that they were passionate about, and collectively we hope to raise over $20,000 dollars over the weekend to be distributed evenly between each organisation.”
