Chef David Rayner sells Noosaville restaurant for $6ook
Chef David Rayner has sold his Noosaville restaurant Thomas Corner Eatery for more than $600,000 in a deal he describes as “bizarre”.
Speaking the The Courier Mail, he said the sale “happened very quickly”.
“I deliberately kept it quiet because I wanted to bow out gracefully,” he said.
“It was a cash buyer and a walk-in, walk-out done deal, it was really bizarre.”
The existing staff would be retained, with Rayner hoping his “legacy would live on”.
“It would be a mistake to not leave it as is because it’s a great business and locals love it,” he told The Courier Mail.
New owner Nathan Beasley also has a part interest in Spice Bar at Mooloolaba.
