Townsville’s Castle Hill Café design revealed

The design of a new café in Townsville that aims to cater to the three quarters of a million people that visit Castle Hill annually has been revealed.

Milford Planning has lodged a development application for the Castle Hill Cafe which is being built in place of demolished Panorama House restaurant.

The development plan of the café will be situated at the summit of the hill includes indoor and outdoor dining areas, which will “capture the views across the city and the new stadium” with a lawn area beyond the deck.

Open seven days a week, the cafe will be fully accessible with ramps that lead to Castle Hill Rd.

A tender is out until the end of the month to build the new venue which is part of the Castle Hill Concept Plan and is a key project in the Townsville 2020 Master Plan.
