Harbourside restaurant Q Dining launches new Autumn menu

Harbourside diners are set to experience a new season of flavours with the launch of Q Dining’s alluring Autumn menu. The restaurant, which resides within Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour, is turning the page on Summer. The contemporary a la carte menu is in keeping with Q Dining’s commitment to showcasing rare artisan ingredients native to Australia and upholds the Indigenous influence the restaurant is known for.

Executive Chef, Steven Hartert, invites diners to indulge in the best Australian home-grown ingredients of Autumn. Enjoy key elements such as basil, beetroot, apple and almonds. A standout dish is the Queensland Red Snapper with summer squash, roasted tomato dressing, black olive and almond cream. Other hero dishes include the Beetroot Cured Ocean Trout, shaved Beetroot, whipped fetta; Lamb Rump, heirloom carrot, gouts curd, toasted sunflower seeds, lardon; and the Burrata cheese, seasonal tomato balsamic dressing, basil and toasted almonds. For those with a sweet tooth, the indulgent Dark Chocolate and Raspberry is a must-try dessert.

Hartert, began his career at Berlins Krone Lamm Hotel before moving to Austria, where he rose to the role of Chef de Partie at the renowned Hilton Vienna Plaza. In 2010, Hartert relocated to Australia and quickly established himself in the Australian dining scene, working within premium resorts and restaurants, including Tourism Australia’s regional deluxe hotel of the year, Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa, and high-profile triple hatted, Sepia Restaurant. Most recently, Hartert held the position of Chef de Cuisine at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth where he was responsible for creating menus and the day-to-day operation of the Sofitel’s internal venues.

In his current role at Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour, Hartert has been instrumental in continuing Q Dining’s native ingredient-driven dishes into Autumn. An exquisite dining destination with an iconic view, Q Dining is a tribute to the treasured acreage and shores of Australia, from design to dish.
