Two tiny high-end restaurants to open in Sydney in April

Two micro high-end restaurants are opening in Sydney next month.

Omakase is a new 11-seater with a $180 set food menu and is set to open in Darling Harbour late April. The diminutive venue is helmed by chef and co-owner Hideaki Fukada and co-owner Kenny Lee.

"Eleven is the maximum number we could fit in," Lee told Good Food. "In Japan you find a lot of really small restaurants like this, and given the set menu is based on the best Hideaki sources each day, there'll be little wastage."

Another tiny eaterie is also set to open next month on Kent St, with Teramoto by at Kuro seating just 10 diners. Speaking to Good Food, owner Alan Wong said there is a demand for high-end venues where "the chef is in front of you telling you what you're eating and where it's from".
