Sydney café bucks the vaccination trend – wants everyone to dine

Sydney café Bare Whole Foods has announced that they will serve only take away food until unvaccinated customers are permitted to sit inside their eatery along with vaccinated customers.

Owner Anthony Milotic wrote an “open letter to the community” saying he wanted everyone to feel welcome at his café and he was embracing “unity” instead of “segregation”.

“We will always value family and hope that you feel the same.

“So, we have chosen to continue to operate as takeaway only until everyone is free to dine in.

“I want everyone to feel welcome at all times and I will never put profit before people.

“Thank you for your continued support.”

When asked if he was vaccinated, Mr Milotic did not reply.

Meanwhile, many businesses are choosing to do the complete opposite.

Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce has confirmed the airline will mandate COVID-19 vaccinations for all passengers planning to travel overseas.

Crown Resorts is deciding whether to make the jab mandatory for punters.

Earlier this month, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said, “You have been warned — come forward and get vaccinated or you won’t be able to participate.”

Adding the only thing unvaccinated people will be able to access will be “critical retail” such as supermarkets.

“If you want to go and buy something in what is regarded as a non-essential shop, you will put up the QR code and if it is not a green light saying you have been vaccinated, you won’t be welcome inside.”
