Perth restaurant owner accused of sexual assault

The number of victims claiming they have been attacked by Perth restaurateur Alberto Nicoletti is growing.

29-year-old Nicoletti is accused of luring and attacking seven women over a period of four years.

Two more charges relating to another two alleged victims were laid on Friday as Nicoletti made a bail application in Perth Magistrates Court with prosecution believing there could be a further 3 victims, bringing the total to 12.

The prosecution said Nicoletti was a flight risk and had concerns for his alleged victims.

Police arrested Nicoletti after they obtained security footage of him and his friend Vincenzo Maneo allegedly luring a woman into a Scarborough toilet block where they raped her in March last year.

According to police, the men sexually assaulted the woman after meeting her at The Lookout and convinced her to go to the toilets offering her cocaine.

Another woman came forward alleging she was attacked at Nicoletti’s restaurant Lago De Como in 2016.

A bail decision will be determined later in the month.

Magistrate Donna Webb said on Friday that if Nicoletti will be released it will be under strict home detention orders where he would not be permitted to leave his home and he would have to give his mobile phone pin to police who would be able to ask to access his phone.
