New Allianz Stadium to host several classic Sydney restaurants… but you can still get your chips

The soon to be opened Allianz Stadium in Sydney’s eastern suburbs will have lobster on the menu from Bert’s and high end Italian dishes when Totti’s Pasta Bar opens up to football fans.

Totti’s made its name as an iconic Bondi restaurant and has a 12-week wait, but sports fans will be able to sample a selection of dishes via the stadium outpost.

The outpost will be in the member’s stand, with the menu curated by Executive Chef Mike Eggert.

On the menu fans will find antipasti like Mortadella, Burrata and Marinated peppers and pasta dishes including Fettuccine with Stracciatella and Bolognese Parpardelle. Cult-favourite Neapolitian Ice Cream Sandwich will be dessert.

Totti’s was recently featured in the Delicious 100 list for 2022.

Over in the GA section fans may not have lobster, however they will enjoy Ms G’s and Mr Wong’s cheeseburger spring roll designed by Executive Chef Dan Hong.

Hong has been given his own dumpling and noodle stand in general admission at the Sydney Football Stadium that will feature Cheeseburger spring rolls, pork buns, steamed prawn Har Gar Dumplings and Salt and Pepper Squid.

Justin Hemmes’ Merivale is the official hospitality partner of the stadium.

Allianz Stadium will feature 64 food and beverage outlets similar to those available at the The Sydney Cricket Ground.

Other inclusions include an outpost from Newport’s Berts restaurant, led by Executive Chef Jordan Toft. Bert’s Bistro will offer a sit down, European bistro style meal with Oysters with a Chardonnay Migonnette, cured salmon and duck liver pate.

Last week Toft opened The Collaroy, but wants football fans to turn up to the game early to sample his wares.

“At Bert’s people have a two hour booking but find they stay for five. While that’s not possible at the stadium, the idea is that people can sit and enjoy high quality food done simply.”

Fans will also find Vinnie’s Pizza and Jimmy’s Falafel outlets and all their favourite traditional footy fare as well.

“We’ve elevated the quality of the basics. I promise the hot chips we serve will be better than before,” Toft said.

Hemmes has called the stadium “the jewel in the crown of Sydney’s sports and entertainment landscape.”
