Man stabbed multiple times stumbles into Mermaid Beach restaurant

While now in a stable condition, the Gold Coast diners called paramedics to help the heavily bleeding man.

The 31-year-old victim entered the popular Mermaid Beach eatery at about 8.15pm, with stab wounds to his neck, stomach and chest.

Police are investigating the restaurant scene and evidence on a nearby street, believing the man may have been stabbed at a different location before making it to the restaurant.

He underwent emergency surgery and is in a stable condition. Police are yet to make an arrest or speak to the man.
