Mobile restaurant Da Biuso to launch in Brisbane

Brisbane is set to welcome a new mobile fine dining restaurant with hospitality veterans the Biuso family repurposing an old bus into a European-style tram offering a Sicilian inspired menu.

Da Biuso will offer a European fine dining experience on wheels, with the bus currently being transformed by the team at Van Demons Vans.

The mobile venue will cater for 14 guests at mixed tables or 18 for a group function.

The 12.5m bus will house a 4.1m commercial kitchen, with chefs Biagio and Joseph creating degustation menus that change seasonally with the produce, while Sarah will oversee the drinks list which includes wine, digestifs and beers from Italy.

The Biuso family’s other restaurants include the now-closed Marina Paradiso in Cairns and Fortitude Valley’s Casa Nostra.

Aiming for a December opening, Da Biuso will open for lunch and dinner five days a week.

The family aims to station the mobile venue at New Farm Park before relocating to Kangaroo Point Cliffs and Manly on a rotating basis.
