Manly Pacific completes $30M transformation

The transformation of the Manly Pacific, once a Novotel property, has undergone a $30 million facelift that has impressed tourists and locals alike.

One key feature of the hotel is the rooftop pool and bar with coastal views. It also boasts excellent dining experiences, as well as bars and activities such as SUP Yoga, boxing on the beach, meditation, Cryo and surfing on the hotel’s doorstep.

The makeover was a long time coming, having not had any major works done since 2008.

Manly Pacific general manager Dylan Cole told news.com.au journalist Shireen Khalil, “We wanted to upgrade the hotel from mid-scale to a lifestyle property, formerly being a Novotel property and now transitioning to an MGallery brand.

“Every point of the rebrand and the design was to be in line with the relaxed and coastal lifestyle of locals in Manly, being in such an iconic beachfront destination.

“You’ll feel calm, rejuvenated and connected to the ocean,” he said.

There are nine ocean-facing ‘Coastal Suites’ featuring elegant Coco Republic furniture.

Locals seem to be enjoying the new look hotel, with one Instagrammer posting, “Looks absolutely heavenly!!!” Another said: “A dream that has to come true!”

Dylan also told Khalil that guests were loving the vibe.

“Not only have they loved the coastal interiors, but they have also raved about the wellness touchpoints in the hotel from the morning health shots, beach club offerings and the rooftop pool,” he explained.

“It’s quite a draw card to have a rooftop pool with a vista overlooking the Manly beachfront, up to Shelly Beach and spanning across to the CBD.”

The Manly Pacific is close to the main strip and its myriad restaurants and bars.

Rooms start from $279 a night.
