Rebranded revolving restaurant reopens its panoramic Gold Coast views

The 26th floor of the Gold Coast’s Crowne Plaza hotel is once again open for business and offering spectacular panoramic views of the city.

The restaurant now called Horizon Sky Dining (formerly Four Winds) will be open to the public on June 30 after closing its doors during the pandemic.

It will cater for 128 diner, with executive chef Jean-Marc Heussner stocking the seafood buffet with local ingredients including Mooloolaba prawns, Pacific oysters and Harvey Bay scallops.

“The breathtaking views and delicious seafood are quintessentially Gold Coast, offering the best of what the city has to offer in one place,” Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise general manager Jason Farnworth said.

“Horizon isn’t just a great dining experience, it’s a jaw-dropping one, with a 360-degree view of the Gold Coast skyline that rotates every 45 minutes.”

The reopening of Horizon Sky Dining is part of Crowne Plaza’s ground-up renovation, which also includes the restoration of the hotel’s 269 rooms with a “beach-chic” design.

“We’re thrilled to be offering another sophisticated yet affordable accommodation offering for travellers coming to the Gold Coast,” Farnworth said.

The revolving restaurant has been spinning since 1991.

Diners can enjoy the views from Horizon Sky Dining’s windows for lunch and dinner from Thursday to Saturday, with lunch bookings on Sunday.

Prices start from $110 per adult and $65 per child.
