Launceston restaurant Dare Darlin could be in hot water after a former employee claimed to have never been paid superannuation.

The hospitality worker who wishes to remain nameless said, "I haven't seen any super contributions.

"Even though it was on my pay slip each week, but I never actually got any contributions to the account itself."

The employee has further accused the restaurant of failing to pay loading fees, weekend penalties or split shift allowances.

"I was putting in all this work, and I wasn't even getting what felt like the bare minimum you're entitled to, which was a big reason as to why I left," they said.

Dane Darlin has been on the defensive since mid-November when co-owner Courtney Hill defended the restaurant from allegations of underpayment and toxic work culture.

The restaurant was accused of underpaying employees on social media platform Facebook.

Hill responded saying "this is completely false information and is so upsetting".
"I stand by everything I've ever posted or said and repeat that none of the above is true," Hill’s Facebook reply said.

Dare Darlin has been contacted by The Examiner on both matters but has declined to comment.
