Hunt on for two gunmen who held up Sydney’s Livingstone Hotel

The hunt is on for two gunmen who held up the Livingstone Hotel in Sydney’s inner west on Tuesday.

Two men burst into the venue around 1am and allegedly threatened patrons and staff.

The thieves stole cash, before fleeing the scene in an unidentified car.

New South Wales Police’s Inner West Police Area Command were called to the scene, with a spokesman assuring Sky News that no one was injured.

“Police have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” police stated.

Forensic experts have dusted the crime scene for fingerprints, while detectives have interviewed witnesses to collect evidence.

Authorities are appealing to the public for any information or dashcam footage that may be relevant to the case.

The Livingstone Hotel has a history of making headlines, having been the site of a high-profile incident ten years ago when a man fired a sawn-off rifle inside the venue.
