Botany Bay toxic algal bloom warning lifted

The NSW Food Authority advises that the public health warning issued on 23rd November 2012 has now been lifted for the waters of Botany Bay and Georges River.

The most recent test results show that the algal bloom has reduced to background levels and no longer presents any food safety issues.

The recreational fishing warning has been lifted and warning signs are being removed from the affected area by the Department of Primary Industries.
