Three more NSW infections linked to soft cheese

Another three people in New South Wales have become sick with a potentially deadly infection after eating soft cheese that has been recalled by authorities.

They have been diagnosed with listeriosis, a bacterial infection.

Health authorities are urging people to check their fridges for soft cheeses manufactured by the Jindi Cheese Company up until January 7.

If such cheese is found it should be thrown out or returned for a refund.

Tests are being conducted to confirm the link between the outbreak strain and the latest cases.

The deaths of an 84-year-old Victorian man and a 44-year-old Tasmanian man have been linked to the infection, along with a miscarriage suffered by a NSW woman.
