Hunt for city's best pub

Reckon your local is Hobart's best pub? It's your shout.

Hobart residents have only a few days left to vote in Cascade Draught's "Shout Your Local" promotion, which has been running since February 4 and finishes at midnight Thursday.

Pub patrons can vote for their favourite watering hole via SMS, and the pub with the most votes will win a huge party, featuring a performance by Tasmanian country rock sensations The Wolfe Brothers plus free food and drinks for regulars.

"We think this is a really exciting promotion that will help bring the people of Hobart together and celebrate pub culture ... also something that the pubs can benefit from," said Cascade head brewer Mike Unsworth, adding that everyone at Cascade was "looking forward to celebrating" at the top pub.

To vote, SMS your full name, the name of your favourite participating pub and its postcode to 1999 9880.
