Foodservice show provides opportunities for regional operators

Foodservice Australia is an annual tradeshow that showcases the latest food, drink and equipment for commercial operators. This year it will run in Melbourne from 2-4 June and has a new section for regional producers.

Exhibition Director Tim Collett says “this is the show where restaurants, cafes, caterers and bakers come to new products and new suppliers. There will be around 160 exhibitors plus a range of special events including Chef of the Year and free business seminars.

“I particularly recommend the show to regional foodservice operators. It is a fantastic opportunity to talk to suppliers and keep up with the latest trends. Instead of waiting for someone to call on you with a limited range of products you can shop and compare.

New this year is a Regional Producer’s Pavilion. This allows smaller producers to exhibit at the show with a minimum of fuss and expense.

Collett says “we really value specialised producers and have tried to make it easy by including everything in one affordable package. For most companies it is just a case of turning up with some product and talking to the buyers. It is a great way to reach the trade”.

The Foodservice Australia show runs from 2-4 June at The Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne. Entry is strictly trade only. For more information on visiting or exhibiting see www.foodserviceaustralia.com.au or call 03 9999 5460.
