Chicken shop reopens after caustic soda scare

The Bunbury fast-food outlet at the centre of police and WorkSafe investigations has been allowed to reopen.

Eleven customers of the Blair Street Chicken Treat store were treated in hospital last Wednesday after eating what is thought to be caustic soda.

City of Bunbury CEO Andrew Brien says the city's health services team is satisfied the appropriate food safety measures have been implemented.

Investigations into the matter are continuing.
