HodHod Halva Shekari: recall

The NSW Food Authority advises:

Aust Aria is recalling a batch of halva confectionary sold in NSW in independent food stores.

The recall is due to contamination of the batch with Salmonella bacteria. Salmonella can cause food poisoning and symptoms can include headache, fever, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, vomiting and nausea.

The recalled product is:

  • HodHod Halva Shekari with Pistachio in a 400g plastic container with a ‘best before’ date of 2014.09.10

The recall only applies to the above batch.

Consumers should not consume this product. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.

Consumers can return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
