Wyndham CEO appointed to TAA Board

Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) has welcomed Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific’s CEO and Managing Director, Barry Robinson, as the newest member of its board.

TAA Chairman Tony South said Mr Robinson’s long and broad experience in the hospitality and vacation ownership sectors would benefit TAA.

“Barry Robinson brings to the Board detailed knowledge of the hotel and resort industry – from development to branding, management, franchising and operations ‐ and extensive experience in the rapidly growing vacation ownership sector of the hotel industry,” said Mr South.

Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific and Wyndham Hotel Group in the South Pacific are part of Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE: WYN) one of the world's largest hospitality companies. Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific develops, markets and sells vacation ownership interests in a network of 24 vacation ownership resorts in the Asia Pacific region.

“TAA has developed significant momentum and influence over the past two years and after a year of experiencing the TAA membership benefits I am delighted to have been asked to join the TAA board and bring Wyndham’s global multi‐brand and vacation ownership experience to the table,” said Mr Robinson.

Barry Robinson joins an illustrious Board, chaired by Tony South and comprising hotel leaders: Bob East (Mantra), Peter Crinis (Crown), Bill Edwards(IHG), Ashley Spencer(Hilton), Iqbal Jumabhoy (Silver Needle), Nigel Greenaway (Eureka), Sean Hunt(Starwood), Robert Dawson (Hyatt), Trent Fraser(Choice), Peter Hurley (AHA) and Rodger Powell(TAA).
