A CASUAL, inviting atmosphere and good pub food is what you can expect when you visit The Brisbane Hotel on bustling Beaufort Street.

The recent winner of WA Hotel of the Year in the Australian Bar Awards caters to people looking for a relaxing lunch, a quick drink or a night of comedy.

General manager Mark Patterson, winner of the Australian bar manager of the year, said he was expecting another huge summer in the hotel’s award-winning beer garden.

“At The Brisbane we welcome everyone with open arms,” he said.

“We are well-known for our fantastic products and great service that make The Brisbane experience relaxed and easy.

“Our award-winning beer garden honours one of the classics of Australian pub culture which is a favourite feature of our pub and perfect for the WA lifestyle.”

Mr Patterson said the pub’s summer menu often enjoyed in the beer garden offered good quality meals with a focus on freshness and reinvention of classics.

“Many of these pub classics are on our regular menu including steak sandwich, fish and chips and our renowned sausage rolls,” he said.

“We also feature a special counter lunch dish every day during the week – think roast pork or chicken schnitzel.

As for a signature dish, Mr Patterson said there were a couple of dishes that had been on their menu from day one that |people came back to.

“Our Tasmanian salmon with nicoise salad or linguine with prawns, garlic, chilli, tomato and spinach are consistent favourites,” he said.

“You might like to start with our famous sausage rolls or finish your meal with a classic pavlova.” Mr Patterson said

Perth’s long, hot summer added to the popularity of the Sunday session and the hotel was the perfect place to cool down.

“Gathering with friends to relax over some beers or wine with a bite to eat is a key feature of our Australian culture,” he said.

“The fantastic long summer we enjoy here in Perth is perfectly suited to an afternoon or evening spent in the beer garden relaxing and swapping stories with old friends and new.”
