Food alerts NSW - product recall: Ashgrove Cheeses (selected products)

The NSW Food Authority advises:

Ashgrove Cheese Pty Ltd has recalled batches of selected cheese products sold in NSW and interstate in Aldi stores and in VIC and TAS also in independent supermarkets and the restaurant trade.

The product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, which is a bacteria that can be particularly harmful for pregnant women, people of older age and people with compromised immune systems.

The recalled products and batches are:

  • Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Cheese - Wine Lovers, 250g, 5 cheeses in a cardboard box with ‘best before’ date of 7/7/14 or 23/6/14
  • Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Cheese - Picnic Pack, 150g, 3 cheeses in a cardboard box with ‘best before’ date of 23/6/14
  • Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Cheese - Bush Pepper, 50g, with ‘best before’ date of 30/6/14
  • Emporium Selection Pepper Cheese (Aldi), 170g, with ‘best before’ date of 14/7/14 or 3/8/14
  • Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm Cheese - Bush Pepper, 1.25kg half wheel, with ‘best before’ date of 17/3/14.

 
The recall only applies to products and batches with the above details.

Consumers should not consume these products.

Consumers can return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.
