Perth shopping complex secures Australia's first Brotzeit restaurant

Brotzeit will open its first Australian restaurant in Perth by mid-2014

Singapore based German food franchise Brotzeit has secured a site at Cbus Property’s 140 shopping complex in the Perth CBD, which is currently undergoing a multi-millon dollar redevelopment.

The Perth restaurant will mark the brand’s foray into the Australian market, and it is expected to open by mid-2014.

Cbus property's asset manager, Chris Hardy said the redevelopment of 140’s dining, entertainment and retail precincts has seen the complex attract a number of new tenants.

“We are finding there has been a resurgence in interest from potential tenants and we are very optimistic about signing on more food and retail outlets to accompany the exciting choice which is already at 140.

“140 is being transformed into a precinct for food lovers, alive with bars, restaurants and shops connected by original laneways," he added.

According to Brotzeit CEO Aidan Hay, Perth is an ideal location for the brand's first Australian restaurant because it has a fast growing market and is culturally diverse.

"We are very excited to be bringing these world-famous brews to Western Australia along with our extensive menu, using only the highest quality Germanic ingredients," he added.

The $1.5 million restaurant will cater to more than 160 people and feature an alfresco beer garden.
