Park Hyatt Sydney Named Top Australian Hotel

Park Hyatt Sydney has been featured in online accommodation website HotelClub.com's list of the 10 "most epic" hotels in Australia.

Coming in at number eight on the list, the Park Hyatt hotel was reportedly included for its impressive location close to some of Sydney's most iconic sights, including the Sydney Opera House, as well as its private balconies offering guests uninterrupted views of the harbour.

Park Hyatt managed to beat stiff competition from Kimberly's Berkeley River Lodge and Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge in Tasmania, which came in at 10th and ninth respectively.

Also featured on the list were the Gold Coast's O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat in seventh, Kimberly Coastal Camp in sixth, Opheaus Island Resort at the Great Barrier Reef in fifth, and Longitude 131 at Uluru in fourth place.

The top three positions in the list were awarded to Kangaroo Island's Southern Ocean Lodge, Daintree Eco Lodge and Spa in Cairns, and the One & Only Hayman Island resort, which took first place thanks to its isolated position in the Great Barrier Reef.

According to Amee Evans, senior marketing manager for HotelClub.com, Australia's beautiful landscapes are one of the main reasons for its popularity with luxury travellers.

She said: “Australia has some of the most spectacular scenery on Earth which when combined with an epic hotel design and experience provides a great reason to stay on your holiday."
