Pair charged after Sydney pub manager suffers fractured

Police have charged two men following a wild brawl at a pub in Sydney's west that saw the venue's manager allegedly suffer a fractured skull.

The 27-year-old manager was found unconscious by police just before 7pm yesterday on the footpath outside the Keighery Hotel on Rawson Street, Auburn.

He had suffered a fractured skull, jaw and collarbone and was rushed to Westmead Hospital.He remains in a stable condition today.

Following the assault, police began a city-wide manhunt for the alleged offenders.

About 7am officers arrested a man at a house in Gellibolu Parade, Auburn. Another man was arrested by police a short time later.

Detectives interviewed the pair at Auburn police station before charging them with recklessly causing grievously bodily harm in company.

The pair will face Burwood Local Court tomorrow morning.
