Stewi is a company in the second generation and has been founded 1947 by Walter Steiner in Winterthur (Switzerland).

The name STEWI has been derived from STEiner WInterthur and the brand Stewi has become the synonym for the rotary dryer in Switzerland.

STEWI means Swiss products in good quality for an economic, ecological as well as gentle treatment of laundry.
