New riverfront Italian restaurant for Brisbane
The restaurateur behind George’s Paragon, Michael Tassis, is launching a new Italian eatery at Brisbane’s Riverside Centre.
Massimo Restaurant & Bar will open this week in the old Groove Train site.
The 130-seat Italian restaurant features a separate bar with additional seating for up to 30, all designed by Brisbane design firm Clui, who have made hanging fish and charcuterie cabinets a star feature.
Italian chefs Davide De Scisciolo and Alessandro Srissone are behind the menu which features plenty of seafood dishes including octopus carpaccio to cioppino with house made focaccia.
Pasta will also be made in house daily topped with everything from sandcrab and prawn to a beef and pork ragu. A chargrill will used to cook the proteins including Italian sausages and Florentine steaks.
