Crafers Hotel named top hotel in South Australia
The Crafers Hotel has been named top hotel in South Australia for the second year in a row at the Australian Hotels Association awards.
The hotel also took out gongs for its casual dining and bar presentation.
“We all are so proud to hold the title of Best Hotel in South Australia two years running,” proprietor Julie Peter told The Advertiser.
“It’s a culmination of nearly six years of collaborative, dedicated work by all six shareholders, as well as our builders, designers and most importantly, our cherished Crafers team.
“It’s such a pleasure to create and be involved in, a small-town hotel which brings together staff, owners and patrons in a friendly, family-style atmosphere.”
Co-owner Brett Matthews said it was “an amazing result”
“I think one thing sums up the results we achieve at Crafers and that is the passion and commitment of the whole team, from the owners through management right down to the food runners for delivering a great food and beverage, and hospitality experience,” he said.
“We just want our customers to enjoy the hotel as much as we enjoy it ourselves. If we can give our customer a sense of our passion for the hotel, then their experience is enhanced and they go away with a memory that they are happy to share with friends and family.”
Other winners include Mount Lofty House (best deluxe accommodation and best restaurant) and airport hotel the Atura (best mid-range accommodation).
“Congratulations to all the winners in the 2019 Hotel Awards for Excellence. The South Australian hotel industry is a diverse and high-quality industry that offers something for everyone” said AHA|SA general manager Ian Horne.
“Whether it be enjoying a meal or drinks with friends, experiencing live music from the best local and international artists, or travelling throughout South Australia to experience this great state of ours, South Australian hotels continue to offer top class hospitality, accommodation and entertainment. All winners should be very proud of their achievements, and for what they contribute to the community in SA”.
