Surfers Paradise Beach Cafe adds a bar after taking over next door tenancy
A Surfers Paradise café has doubled in size ahead of the busy Christmas period after taking over a neighbouring business.
The Surfers Paradise Beach Café has added a bar after taking over a neighbouring tenancy formerly occupied by teppanyaki restaurant Zushi Sushi.
Surfers Paradise Beach Cafe & Bar owner Arthur De Snoo told the Gold Coast Bulletin he has been “trying for years” to get the neighbouring premises.
“It was a good opportunity to extend our terrace area and also put a bar in there. I always wanted to,” he said.
The new venue will see live music playing regularly during afternoons and nights from about 8pm to just after 10pm.
The new drinking hole is a first for De Snoo in Surfers Paradise. He formerly ran large hotel resort bar and restaurant operations in the Middle East before moving to Australia and setting up his own venues which include Love Italy in Cavill Mall.
From Christmas week through to the end of January the bar will be open from 10am daily through to midnight. The adjoining cafe hours are 6.30am to 10pm.
