Luxury revamp for Hilton Sydney

Hilton Sydney has had a major revamp with all 547 rooms and 40 suites completely redesigned and refurbished.

The $25 million renovation includes everything from new carpets, tapware, 55 inch televisions in each room and even new recliners.

Business travellers will notice a big change when it comes to the old business desks they are used to. These have been replaced with "custom tables" combined with space-saving seating and are positioned in front of the TV so guests can use the table for working or dining.

The refurbishment was done by A+ Design Group. Mike Watson from the firm said  “a fundamental design decision was an overhaul of the traditional desk setup, which took up considerable floor space.

“In its place ... is an oversized Italian armchair and ottoman, coupled with a custom table, at which guests can work or dine.”

Two new room types have also been introduced. The new Corner Rooms, provide an extra window so you get more of a view.

The new Family Rooms provide the opportunity to interconnect two rooms allowing access to both.

“Providing an upmarket guest experience while offering a gateway to Sydney’s CBD has always been a priority for the hotel,” said Hilton Sydney’s General Manager, Hayden Hughes.

The Executive Lounge will continue to operate and food and beverage venues will remain, such as the Marble Bar, Luke Mangan’s Glass Brasserie restaurant, Zeta Bar and Caffe Cino.

Room rates begin begin at $209 per night.
