Patisserie chefs arrested in cocaine sting
Two patisserie chefs were arrested by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) for importing $61 million worth of cocaine.
The French nationals were connected toa 247kg haul of cocaine seized from a Townsville yacht.
Police used x-ray technology to discover the concealed drug, which was hidden in the hull of the yacht.
The two men have been extradited to Brisbane and will appear in court at a date to be determined.
The haul is suspected to be linked to an international organised crime network, with local and international ties.
