Art Series Hotel gives away a Warhol

Art Series Hotel Group has commissioned a convicted forgery artist to produce nine replica Andy Warhol works for its walls in a particularly original bid to boost guests.

Developed by Naked Communications, the 'Which Warhol's Warhol's?' campaign involves the display of nine replica works by forger Tony Tetro alongside one real Warhol painting.

The paintings will hang in the hotel until August 3, during which time guests will be asked to pick the real from the fake. One fake will be revealed each week and given away, with an original Warhol given to one of the guests who picks Warhol's Warhol.

The experiential campaign will extend into social media and online and will be supported by digital and print advertising.

Twitterers can also win a night in the hotel by following @whichwarhol on Twitter or facebook.com/artserieshotels, and participating in the featured quizzes on art forgery.

The Warhol campaign follows the 'Steal Banksy' promotion held in December that challenged people to try to steal an original Banksy artwork from the hotel.
