Gangland owned Brisbane restaurant shot up

A Queensland restaurant was the target of a gang related shooting last night.

Three rounds were fired into the glass at the front of the building, with at least two bullet holes visible from the side of the restaurant.

The Toowong restaurant is owned by underworld figure and convicted drug trafficker, Daniel Milos.

According to a Queensland Police spokesman, at around 2 am, two people approached Barolos Ristorante Italiano and fired their guns into the glass.

After the shots were fired, two people were observed travelling west on foot, then entering a stairwell.

One neighbour said that in the early hours of that morning, his wife had heard what she described as three gunshots.

Earlier this year, Milos pleaded guilty to 13 drug related charges, including ten counts of supplying cocaine.

According to police, they had carried out around twelve raids and seized $750,000 of drugs.

The raids came after a 14-month sting undertaken by undercover police that included phone taps, surveillance and controlled buys.

In court documents, it was revealed that Uber Eats bags were used to pick up drugs with Milos using code words such as “ragu” and “table of eight” to describe cocaine.

Four people were arrested in the 2017 raids, amongst those were Milos and his chef Ryan McIver.

For his role in the trafficking operation, McIver received a two year jail sentence, suspended after three months.
